Welcome to B.Sc(Anaesthesia)

Anesthesia technologists are well versed with the pharmacology of anesthetic & non anesthetic drugs, their preparation, dilution, labeling. They are trained in preparing Anesthesia trolleys checking the machines for suction, gas system operation, working of OT tables, various gases used in OT, inhalational agents usage. They assist with the administration and monitoring of anaesthesia and have extensive knowledge of anaesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies, and technology.

Anaesthetic technicians are mainly employed by anaesthetic departments or operating theatre suites, but can be found in other areas of clinical practice including emergency departments, intensive care units (ICU) and day surgery clinics.

Duration : 3 Years

Min Qualification Required: 10+2

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the students to successfully apply for B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology is as given below:

  • 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 45% on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • Along with this, the candidates might also need to clear the entrance exam which is compulsory for admission to some of the institutes.

Documents

Documents required during the time of admissions are as follows :

  • Marks card of the qualifying examination.
  • SSLC marks card (with date of birth).
  • Transfer/C.L.C Certificate from Previous (Original+ 3 attested copies).
  • Migration Certificate (Original+ 3 attested copies).
  • Character Certificate from the previous institution (Original+ 3 attested copies).
  • The Candidates coming from out of state must obtain eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
  • SC/ST/OBC Certificate (applicable only if it is attested).
Note: Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI categories. Change of category from Foreign/NRI to General after admission will not be entertained under any circumstances.
